Does it automatically switch over to EDGE if wifi is out of range?
If I get out of wifi range, would it automatically switch over to EDGE? without breaking any downloads or chats?

Inappropriate?In general the switch is seamless, though I haven't tested this in mid-stream. As for "chats," the iPhone doesn't have chat function at the moment. Definitely a missing piece which will get plugged in somehow, probably via a Safari app. Give it a week.
