Expandable memory
8 GB just does not cut it for me. I'd like to see it come with atleast 30 GB and if possible also an expandable memory slot. IPODs are available upto 60 GB so I dont understand why they did not have that as the starting point.

Inappropriate?rumors are that 6 months down the line you may see a 12 GB version, but nothing official from Apple yet.
-
Inappropriate?Im actually glad they don't have a hard drive in them. I prefer the ruggedness of the flash, because I know I will be dropping this thing from time to time.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Knowing Apple, they will maintain price points but keep adding features and capabilities. Then they'll create lower-end models with fewer features. Again, just like iPod.
-
Inappropriate?Yes, but they are touting this as the iPOD+phone. It is hardly an iPOD with 4/8/12 GB memory. True, it plays music, but thats not enough to be an iPOD now is it?
-
Inappropriate?Sure it's an iPod. Some people even *prefer* their iPod nanos to the larger cousins. It goes along with the whole apple digital hub concept.
Their vision is that you are never a couple days from your Mac, and as such, you slake your thirst for music using smart playlist and constant syncing. -
Inappropriate?hard disks are prone to failure, huge and use the battery inefficiently.
i understand they want you to upgrade the entire device, when you need more capacity or your battery begins to fail, just like ipod, but if I had to renew my contract for two years every time I got a new phone, ATT would own me for the next decade.
--i'm sure the 8gig chips that they get from samsung are incredibly cheap with the volume discount they already have from the black nanos.
