Inappropriate?it's taken 6 hours to transfer 26 gigs off my nearly brand new macbook pro.
is this normal?
I’m a little concerned about how long this is taking.

Inappropriate?1GB took me 14-15 minutes so about 4GB per hour or 4 x 6 = 24GB , sounds about right. I did find that activating the 5Ghz 802.11 "N" was better and faster than the normal 2Ghz signal and than having the mix mode on.
To tell you the truth I prefer to use Apple's "Backup" than Time Machine's backup features. -
Inappropriate?yeah, i kinda doubt that i'm going to use most of these features. and having a backup done hourly is just overkill.
