How can I get it so I can access my iCal stuff online?
I have .mac and a macbook and am trying to get it so ical will sync and I can access my calendar stuff online on another computer. It says I can on .mac when I go to calendar, but after I have synced (ical is checked) the calendar page on .mac is the same.

Inappropriate?I think there are still problems with .Mac/MobileMe. Those should be ironed out soon, I would hope.

In the mean time you could use GCal as your main calendar and then have iCal subscribe to it.
Costs:
You could use BusySync (busymac.com) to keep iCals synced. You can do LAN syncing or you could use a GCal as a "hub" calendar that both iCals write to and pull from.
