Inappropriate?Apple + Option + Esc will bring up a window showing applications that are running, and those that may be stuck (Not Responding).
Other ways to do this are:
1. Right click (or Control + click) on the dock icon for the frozen application, press option and the menu will change from "Quit" to "Force Quit." Choose that in the menu.
2. Hold Apple and press Tab until the frozen application is selected in the switcher bar, then hold Option also, and press Q.
