How do you add more RAM to the Macbook Pro?
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?First, a video demonstration:
I just did this last week. It's pretty straightforward, but you will need a tiny phillips screwdriver. An eyeglass screwdriver or one of those handy miniature screwdriver sets will do the trick.
First, and hopefully this is obvious, turn off the computer. Then remove the battery from under the laptop. Just push the latches up and pull the battery out (you may need to slide your fingernails under the seam to get a grip). Once it's out, be sure to touch the metal under the battery to discharge any static electricity.
Once done, you will see three tiny screws. Remove these, but don't lose them! Remove the panel cover.
If you only have 1gig of RAM in there you'll probably have 1 module in the lower dock and an empty upper dock. The video above shows how to replace both. I just replace the top one.
The hardest thing about this, and it took me twice to get it right, is making sure you go in at the correct angle and push in hard enough. Start by finding the incision that aligns with the indention on the slot. The memory module goes in at a 45 degree angle and then you push down firmly until it snaps into place.
Start up your computer. If you did it right you can go to your apple menu, select About this Mac, click More Info, and get the system profiler. On the left panel you'll see a list of components; click Memory. It will display the contents of each slot. The information here should match your expectations.
Good luck!
