How to disable iPhone auto rotation?
How do you disable the iPhone's auto-rotation "feature"? There is a good article describing the full issue here: http://tr.im/Du0b, but simply, I do not want the phone to automatically switch between portrait and landscape mode. I would prefer to control it manually with a gesture, but if not possible, I would settle for simply locking it in one or the other.

Inappropriate?It drives me bonkers.. Especially when somewhere that's moving, or i pick up my phone and it's all landscape and jams. I fully respect those who like portrait options for various things, but let's please have it as an option as i cant stand it!

Inappropriate?Totally agree! I wish they'd update with a toggle to turn off auto rotate and replace with a gesture. That would be soooo much better.
