I want my iPhone to talk to me!
Particularly when I'm listening to music and I have the headphones in, I'd love it to announce the name of the person calling so I don't have to take the phone out of my pocket to see who it is. Apple's got a ton of great computer voices from the Macintosh, why not put them to good use?

Inappropriate?I had the same idea. This should DEFINITELY become a reality. I can't believe that the iPhone is lacking in so many of these little areas. (Voice recognition, speech, etc)

Inappropriate?Definitely a good idea. The iPhone would really benefit from the great Apple speech synthesis technology to announce incoming calls. Voice dialing too, please!
