I'm selling my Powerbook G4, what's the best way to clear my stuff off the hard drive?
I've got the OSX cd and the startup cd.

Inappropriate?Big companies handle this problem by removing the hard drive, deleting all the data, opening the drive case and removing the disk, making big scratches in it to destroy its readability, then storing it in a somewhere for a number of years. But you may not need to do that if you don't have missile launch codes or whatever stored on your drive.
I’m happy I don't work for a giant corporation anymore

Inappropriate?Crap, I knew those codes were going to be a pain...
Turns out that the grey CD that comes with most macs has a restore and clear off all the old data setting. I just did it, and it worked like a charm. I hear though that not all data is actually cleared off. Hence the destruction Jonathan speaks of.
I’m wanting the job of destroying disks!
