iPhone voicemail taking too long
Retrieving voicemail messages takes a really, really long time. Why does this happen? How can it be fixed?

Inappropriate?It seems to happen if you're in a location with very poor reception (like where I work). If you're near another phone, you can pick up your voicemail messages by calling your iPhone and pressing * once you hear your greeting. -
Inappropriate?Sometimes it seems to even happen when there is good reception (i.e., I'm able to make a call).
But thank you for the workaround suggestion. That will be helpful going forward.

Inappropriate?We have multiple iPhones in the family, and one is consistently having this problem. Sometimes voicemails will not arrive for hours (and occasionally many hours) after they are recorded.
iPhone has been updated (including carrier update) and synced and restarted. Any ideas?
