iTunes should drop DRM from it's TV Shows and Movies.
I'm sick on not being able to watched content i've purchased from iTunes on my XBOX 360 (via streaming over my local wireless network) because of the stupid DRM baked into each file. What makes it even more frustrating is that if I were to download my content illegally off BitTorrent for example, it would play perfectly fine. We all saw what a waste of time putting DRM on music was, and now it's been taken off, people can play their music on whatever device they want. There is no reason why it shouldn't be the same with video content.
I must have spent over £300 on TV and Movies from iTunes over the last year, but i've finally reached breaking point with this thing, and will going back to downloading from BitTorrent to get my TV and Movies, not because it's free (I'm more than willing to pay people for their hard work), but because the files from BitTorrent are not crippled with DRM which will only let me play CONTENT I OWN on a limited set of devices.
In my case DRM has done the exact opposite of what it is supposed to do. It has pushed me towards piracy rather than stop it from happening. Quite ironic really.

Inappropriate?I absolutely agree! I own an iMac, a X360 and a PS3.
And i'm wondering WHY do I have to spend extra money on a third party tool to stream my music/videos onto my PS3 to watch it on my big TV...
It's just a waste of money and DRM f**** up this functionality big time, cause the tool is merely an adapter between the two systems and uses the same communication standard that everybody else uses for this purpose. apple could easily integrate that into OSX/Itunes... along with DRM Support for remote playback if necessary.
I payed for the content!
So why do I even have to explain that I want to play it back where I want? I don't even want to carry it outside my door, I just want it to go over the network to my TV!
I’m angry, because the obvious thing to do is never automatically done.

Inappropriate?Apple's take on this is trying to sell hardware, and always will be.
If they removed DRM from tv shows and movies there would be no reason to buy their Apple TV which is their prime objective in selling movie/tv show content.
But I definitely agree it would be an awesome move by Apple and would increase the number of people wanting to purchase movies/tv shows on iTunes ALOT!
I’m unconcerned

Interesting, but you could say the same thing about the iPod, yet Apple removed DRM on their music sold through iTMS.
AppleTV needs something new to differentiate itself from similar devices. Why would I buy a AppleTV to stream media to my TV when my Xbox 360 can do it already?
I think AppleTV should carve itself a niche as a web-video set-top box. Apple should be working with providers like Hulu and BBC iPlayer so you can watch their content on your TV via a connected AppleTV.
