My computer wont sync all my apps!!

I have some apps for example Around Me and when i try to sync it it doesnt work like i mean it says installing around me to Blah blah blah and all of a sudden it just says backing up and when i look at my ipod it doesnt have those apps!!!??? SOMEONE PLZ HELP!!
