my macbook pro is sleeping when the battery still shows 15% left.
I'll be toodling along with 14% or so left on my battery and it will all of a sudden sleep and not come back on. Plug it in and it wakes back up with0% on the battery indicator. Not so good.

Inappropriate?Sounds like it may be a battery that is dying. I've heard of this happening before: the system goes to sleep when it still shows plenty of power remaining. Apple has indicated this as a symptom of a bad battery. You may want to contact AppleCare before it gets worse.
I’m sad

Inappropriate? Both of the batteries I've gone through have experienced this problem. I only have about 10 minutes of usage on my current battery before It shuts down. It says 87% or so when it shuts down, so I stay plugged in all day. I need to get this one replaced.
Luckily, Apple did a great job replacing my battery the first time around. Two stops by the Apple store (one to order the part, one it up a couple days later) and it was all fixed. Granted, I was still under warranty, so who knows how the experience will differ this time.
I think the most disappointing is that Apple would let this happen for so long with their batteries.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?my wife's macbook seems to have the same problem...power out even though the battery indicates 80% life. for every apple product, i recommend to buy an AppleCare 3 year warranty within one year of purchase.
