Network printing issues w/SHARP AR-651_810PS3EU
is there a way for me to use tiger drivers with my leopard operating system? my school's printer is a sharp which has chosen not to support the Leopard operating system. the visible problem is that the program will not give me an opportunity to put in the password to print using the printer.

Inappropriate? If Sharp doesn't have drivers to support your printer under 10.5, you may want to give Gutenprint (formerly Gimp-Print) a shot. The following is from Apple's printer troubleshooting article:
"You can try using one of the of the Gimp-Print drivers included with Mac OS X if you cannot locate printer software for your specific printer model. If your printer supports PostScript Level 2 or PostScript Level 3, select Generic PostScript Printer as the print model. If you are experiencing an issue using the driver designed for your printer model, you may be able to workaround the issue by adding the printer via a Gimp-Print driver or the Generic PostScript Printer Description file."

If that doesn't work, then I guess you could contact Sharp and ask them for advice since you paid good money for a decent printer from them when you could have gotten one from HP on Epson and been supported for more then one version of OS X.
I hate companies that force you to buy new hardware every time you update your OS.
