Hi i have a new apple imac 20 in 2.4 and the screen is just impossible to scratch!
i was wondering if apple made the screen
out of the same anti-scratch glass as the iphone and ipod touch?

Inappropriate?That's a great question! It does make sense that Apple would be applying its material science from one product to others, and they probably have some amazing economies of scale at this point.
I have to ask, though: how have you tested the scratch impermeability on your machine? Seems like it would be a dangerous test...

Inappropriate?well actually i have not done an actual scratch test but there have been multiple instances where it should have scratched but did not like for instance one morning i whipped it with the zipper of my jacket Not 1 mark!!!

Inappropriate?So distraught, I had a senior moment of unmindfulness and managed to scratch my new 24" iMac screen!! Does anyone know whether it is possible to polish a scratch out or any repair solution as cannot bear it or forgive myself this sin. It is only a small line but it catches the light from the screen light and I find myself looking for it!!! Mercy!
