New iPhone 2.0 error: Can't connect to the iTunes store. Error -9838 this time.
So I successfully solved the last problem I had (thanks for the help, everybody!), but a new one popped up:
I get it as soon as I plug the 2.0 upgraded iPhone in. Does this just mean the store is down because other people are accessing it? Or is there a workaround?

Inappropriate? It seems the general consensus is that Apple's servers are flooded with activation requests and error -9838 has something to do with the fact that there are too many requests.
I even talked to an Apple representative who informed me that one of the Apple servers crashed entirely.
I’m waiting patiently

Inappropriate?Problem solved! Just do this: Go into Image Capture (the application) on your Mac, and set the preferences to "No Application" when a digital camera is connected. Then connect your iPhone to iTunes and it will complete the activation process.

ok, to be fair, it's "accessing the store..." now, which is an improvement, but it's still taking a ridiculously long time to connect. but @ least it's trying! -
Inappropriate?mmm, i spoke too soon. it did try and access and connect, but now I get unknown error -4 instead. alas.

Inappropriate?done! just had to keep unplugging and replugging it in. all is well again.
