Non-Working PowerBook G4
My old Powerbook G4 is not booting anymore. My entire iTunes library is stored on it. I bought a hard drive specifically for Time Machine to help prevent any loss of data, but somehow I fear data has been lost. What can I do to repair, upgrade, or sell it for a new computer that works and recover my lost data?

Inappropriate?Don't worry, Time Machine won't lose data. When you fix your current computer, or buy a new one, follow these instructions to restore your system from the most recent Time Machine backup:

Can share any details about your Powerbook not booting? Does absolutely nothing happen after you press the power button? Have you checked the battery or tried booting with the Powerbook plugged in? -
Inappropriate? The powerbook is not loading the OS. It stops with the white boot-up screen.
I want to reload my time machine, but I fear that the hard drive is ruined. My time machine was on an external hard drive.
Is there a way to boot my laptop using the time machine as my OS boot disk?
How can I use my hardware without using the internal hard drive to repair my OS X files (mainly my iTunes) so that I can put it onto my PC or another computer? I just want my iTunes files. Forget the laptop. It's not in working order because of the hard drive.
Any ideas?
