OS X Cannot play .WAV files?
The voicemail in my company's phone system forwards messages to my email address in the form of .wav files.
The problem is it seems like OS X cannot open .WAV files. I use 10.5.2 and have installed VLC player and a host of other multimedia players but that doesn't solve the problem.
Any, ideas?

Inappropriate?Have you associated Quicktime with the .WAV files?
System Prefs > Quicktime > Advanced > MIME Settings > Audio - Audio only file formats > check the WAV audio option.
Restart your computer and that should fix it for you.
When you install too many multimedia players some file formats are dropped and no longer played by the OS (happens once in a while), that's when you have to associate them with a program manually.
By the way iTunes and Quicktime play Wav files without the need of any other codecs or add-ons installed.
