Should I wait until v2 of the iPhone before buying?
Apple products always seem to have problems when they first come out.

Inappropriate?No.
People always say that you should wait for v2 of an Apple product. I think that's ridiculous follow-the-herd thinking. Be an early adopter. Buy the first, most expensive product. Sure, it'll have problems, but *every* Apple product has problems, regardless of where in the development life cycle you buy it.
I followed the "wait and see" with my most recent Powerbook and you know what? It's been to the Apple Store 3 times now, twice for the screen and once for the power input. That's 2 more times than my last Powerbook, which was a first generation.
Complex machines break. It's just what happens. So buy the iPhone. You know you want to.

Inappropriate?Huh. I disagree with Lane. I admit, I'm in the camp of "wait until v2 of an Apple product" most of the time. And I hear Lane's argument. But Apple's been doing laptops for quite a while. So getting v1 of the Powerbook instead of waiting for v2 is not such a big deal. However, this is Apple's first foray into phones. Patience is a virtue.
