Smart Address Book folders on the iPhone
Apple's Address Book supports smart folders (folders that hold contacts based on certain search characteristics). For instance, if I want to keep track of all the employees for one company in my address book, I would simply make sure I have the "Company" field filled out on each contact. I don't have to drag the contact over every time I create a new one.
There is no such functionality on the iPhone and there should be.

Inappropriate?Screencast link is broken... This is just dumb - why doesn't the iPhone support smart groups?
I’m disappointed

Inappropriate?Sorry for the bad link. Here is the website (in French) , just click on the iPhone to see the screencast.

And don't be disapointed because a Smart Address Book folders App will be available soon on the AppStore and at a very reasonable price.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Very nice! I still think Apple should be a little more on top of the functionality for the phone though. But very innovative.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?jailbreak and get AB Grouper, then create all the groups you want right on the phone, and add contact pictures to the scroll list with Cyntact, and view contacts in cover flow mode with Contact Flow...
I’m jailbroken
