Sound no longer works on my Apple TV
I have my Apple TV connected to my Yamaha receiver through the optical port. It was working fine until yesterday, when the audio suddenly stopped working. I've checked the connections, and I don't remember changing any settings.
The display on my receiver still indicates that I have a digital audio connection, but there is no sound.
I also tried my DVD player to confirm that it wasn't the receiver, and the audio on that works fine.

Inappropriate?switch everything off from the main power supply, plug everything in wait ten seconds and switch on again. Wait for you ATV to reset. This cured my problem which was similar - only with HDMI.
