spill has all but killed my macbook. save me!
so, a magic elf spilled a bit of coke on my mcbook. shut it down, dried it out, and it started up. then shut off. repeat, started up, was able to run some programs for a few minutes, then shut down again. repeat. my macbook now runs properly, although the "l" and fast forward keys no longer work and the battery will not charge (mag safe plugged in and green, getting the "no batteries available"). before i walk into a repair place and am told i am stupid, is there anything else i can do (sorry, question mark key doesn't work either). my warranty has expired and i fear i'm out of luck on this one...and as much as i'd love a new macbook, i don't want to spend that money just yet. please help! i'm sick of copying and pasting the letter l!!!!

Inappropriate? If you have a technical background (or know a lot about macs) there are some tutorials out on the web which you can google, that teach you how to "wash" and repair your own keyboard, clean out any dried liquids from inside your mac portable, etc... However, they are all "do at your own risk"...
Other than that, going to a technician or the Apple Store is your best bet...
Good Luck!
