Strange things going on with Wi-Fi
While in my house today, I did a quick search for Wi-Fi networks and found one. It was locked, but I decided to try to put in a random password for it. I entered some random characters, and then it showed that I was connected to the Internet on that network. The Wi-Fi signal icon was in the top status bar (with the time, battery, and "iPod"), and there was a check next to this locked network.
However, when I tried accessing a page in Safari, it said it could not load the page because I was not connected to the Internet.
Why was it doing this? In the picture below, it shows that I am "connected to Wi-Fi", but the page will not load.

Inappropriate?First off...don't try stealing the internet from people who pay for it. Second, the wifi icon sometimes shows up if you successfully connected to the internet or not. In this case; you did NOT get the right passphrase to the network. The icon only shows up due to an error. Your ipod touch is supposed to give you a "Connection timed out" or "Connection failed" error when you try to connect with an incorrect passphrase.
