Switching graphic cards on MacBook Pro is a nightmare
Sometimes I, all the sudden, need more graphics power because I'm opening Photoshop, iMovie, etc... at the same time, or maybe I wanna play a game. So in order to do this, I must quit everything since log out is required to switch graphic cards!.
I heard some laptop has the same feature for Vista and it works =S how come it works on such OS and... Apple couldn't make it work this way on it's own OS?
The MacBook Pro is a product out of this world... but this "feature" is a Windows-like torture. Will we ever see a patch for this? If so, (thanks and) when?
(Please, on Leopard)
Thank you =) bye!

Inappropriate?Have you tried submitting your request directly to Apple?

I agree that the new method of switching graphics cards is very un-Mac-like, and it sure is a popular request, but one more voice couldn't hurt. -
I will! thanks... -
Inappropriate?Unless you're using your MacBook on battery a lot, why not just leave it on the accelerated card and only switch back when you're going to be using the battery power. That's what I do - in fact I almost never would switch it back unless I thought I'd need extended battery power.
I’m ok with it
