Unauthorized Charges charged to my bank account from Apl. i-tunes

I share a chaecking account with my dad and he asked me about the $11.43 I spent at itunes. I do not have an itunes account nor do I use his debit card. I called the bank and they said that Visa doesn't do charge backs for less than $20 but that they would remove the charge if my dad cancels the debit card. I don't know how a person could buy something online without the 3 digit code on the back of the card though. I am seeing that the other posts are within the same time frame that this one occured. You would think that itunes would see the pattern. But, they are too money hungry to care. They don't care where the money comes from as long as they get it.

Having exactly the same issue. Weirdly, I'm in the UK, but when I was checking my statement, I suddenly noticed £150 taken form my account in loads of different installments in the same day...
I have used Itunes once previously and there is no purchase history other than that one item on my account.
Anyone had any luck getting their money back and can recommend the best action to take? I'm going to my bank when I can... unfortunately, none of banks in my area open until Monday...

I have noticed this same issue going on my CC also and it's a mastercard for unemployment compensation in the US the charges are for $1 and $1.13 which isn't much but what is to stop them from making bigger ones I called apple and got the run around froma rep named Max. He couldn't give me a deffinate answer of where to call or who to contact. I also noticed that i didn't have this issue till after i used a outside bank atm in ATM Cash (Maestro) - 1701 DARBY DRIVE FLORENCE A AL I think it was a bank independent branch. Be care of the bank atm's the camera may be likely to not belong to the bank. if something looks unusual on the arm machine don't use it.

I was also hacked into my itunes account on 5/26 for 2 -$50 gift cards. The thieves changed my user account (email address) so that I was not notified of the purchase. paypal notified me about the fraud activity. as with all others, right now no one will accept responsibility. Personally, I believe that itunes has a security issue with their database, but until then, i think i am sadly out $100.

I have just noticed that they have charged my visa for 114.00.
What do I do?

Call the bank asap and report it. It's an easy fix. And from now on, don't buy anything online that isn't through paypal. Since my incident and new card issue, there are no new charges. NEVER buy anything online that makes you enter your CC or debit and the 3 digit security code. Get a paypal account and NEVER leave money in the paypal account.

I notested a charge on my CC. called visa and reported it. put a hold on my CC and will recive a new card. I will have to dispute the charge when it is posted. Other then the hassel things are working out.

i got a charge on my visa yesterday that i didnot authorize apple mobile me i dont own an ipod or apple i touch phone or do i use i tunes i had to cancel my card or they probly would keep taking a 1.13 everytime they want i am out of work tierd of things like this happening to people

not just you. I do have an apple account, but the cc that was charged is not now nor has it ever been linked to my apple account. Charge from apl mobile me for 1.13. Unfortunatly bank is closed due to holiday also have charge from COLLEGE SPORTS NETWORK CARLSBAD for 19.90. What kind of jerks would do this? I'm going to put a stop to it first thing in the morning. I hope they get caught.

It just happened to me today. My bank's fraud department called me and told me about the charges. They charged over $600. The charges were listed as xbox live something. After I go to the bank on Wednesday and sign something, they said I would most likely get the money back. I better, or I'm going to be ffffffffff angry!

my name is carla brown and I am having a problem with itune's,.....they do not have a website which is stupid because how in the he-- are suppose to report a problem to them,...getting on with my storie,...I tune's is claiming that I owe them 15.50 which is impossible because my creditcard would have been over drawn and it is not!?,....yestery I tryed 3 different times to download a song from them for only.99,...3 different time's they still showing an outstanding balance of 15.50 which I have no Idea how or why??,........I have not recieved an email from them at all about this but everytime I go back to itunes and keep wanting to purchase a song from??, the same da-- thing keep's happening to over and over again,..I am very frutrated over itunes telling me that I owe them 15.50,........I would have recieved an email from them??....I have not recieved nothing from them,....i want something done about this right now,..........I am pi---!!!

Thank goodness for Bank of America's fraud department. I was called today by them for suspicious activity on my credit card. One of the pending charges was for $1.13 APL MOBILEME. Having no idea what that was I googled it and found this forum. I immediately cancelled my credit card that was used so no further charges could be applied. Never having downloaded itunes or anything else, I wondered how I could've been hooked up to such a scam. The only thing I did was respond to a Biz Rate survey after making an online purchase. I checked all the no's to any offer but apparently this mobile me itunes thing is hidden in the survey somewhere. I'm blaming Biz Rate. Beware and someone really needs to punish Apple for allowing this to happen to soooo many people.

yes this is a big scam. i had $2.13 pending , taken from my acount. and the card company said it was for a $99.00 subsription .and i had to pay $9.00 for a new card.

Hi everyone,I had the same issue like all of you. It hurt me so bad because I've got high blood pressure. When I went to Walmart to purchase my groceries, my debit card canceled. It was too late to call the bank(6:30pm). I had to go home without food, and a huge frustration in my stomach. The 1st thing in the 10/1/09, I called the bank & I was devastated that my checking account balance was $0. I look up my bank statement & saw my money gone easier to their pocket without working hard like us. My Goodness! the 9/30/09, when I was at work on my grave yard shift,they took $1.13,$1.00,$1.13,$1.13,$1.13,$1.00,then $1.00 without my knowledge. The 10/1/09, after work I went home & slept haft of that day until I went to WalMart & my $310.00 was gone with none of my authorization. I wasnot able to sleep 2 nights & went online today when I took a break to see all victims of this Apple store including me. I have a big question for Apple Store: How in the world did you know my account card to jump in & charged me for nothing? I don't have any ipod, my desk top was from a yardsale for $15.00. I have to make payments on my mobile home& I am truly carefull of spending money. It was sad & painful for all the cyber theft's victims. I hope Apple store won't damage people like these cases anymore. God always have mercy& He will bless you more if you do the right things.

Apple took $2.00 dollars away it's not the money it's the idea...How can they do this??? It is very unlawful....I hope someone can put a stop to this....The sooner the better... THANKS 1 concerned citicen

I am having this problem too. Apple has charged my PayPal account. Now PayPal wants to cancel my account with them.

This just showed up in 3 seperate charges.$1.13 from my bank account. I dont use or have any itune account.

Chase fraud alerts contacted me this afternoon with a text message asking if I authorized a $1.13 charge to a computer service company. I replied back no and they called me right away. The representative from Chase said it was for APL MOBILEME. I haven't used this credit card in over a year, and don't have it linked to my Itunes account, so I have no idea how the number was stolen. I told the representative that I did not make the charge, and she immediately cancelled my account and is issuing me a new card.

Luckily I wasn't hit for anything other than this preauthorization, but it does make me wonder how they got my credit card number for a rarely used account.

The charges showing up as APL*ITUNES and APL*MOBILEME are NOT FROM APPLE. They are from a spoof company using Apple's name to drain people's bank accounts. They use stolen bank account numbers to place $1 test charges. Then they drain whatever tested accounts were successful. Contact your bank, dispute the charges, and get a new card.

On the other hand, the gift card purchases that some actual itunes customers are seeing are from people who have hacked their itunes account. Contact Apple and dispute the charges. Apple IS aware of this problem.

Apple is not stealing your money in either case. Hackers and scammers are doing it. Apple is just keeping quiet and letting it happen.

I checked my bank account this morning 10/19/09 and I saw unauthorized charge in my account 1.13 (10/16/09) from APL*MOBILEME WWW.ME.COM (pending). I google it and I found this forum. I called my bank right away and reported the fraudelent charged in my account. My bank was very helpful, he said going to send me paper for me to sign (fraud claim) within few days and a new card within a week or so. Luckily I found this early before they take out of more money from my bank account. So, people check your bank account at least once a week to make sure that no one but you using your credit/debit card. Is not about the 1.13 amount, but the idea of stealing my information, bank account, is really upset me. Just be careful, because this can be a nightmares for you with no money left in the bank account.

I had to pay for my 15.75 no matter what??!,....I had a major talk with quite a few live rep's. on my computer and that they could not refund my money because itune's felt that I had owed them there money which I did not!, period,...but I gave it to them and it was ok later on,....one rep. had told me that there people/company's that will take advantage of you no matter what just so they can get what they want out of you,...she was right about that one,.......they (itunes) know's that they have a great website with alot of stuff to it and yes it will cost you,..that's just the fact's,....but I was also told by my bank that it take's about 5 day's for the money to go through which does not make sence at all because the kind of card that I have goes right through then and there, and yes I have called my card up and wheither it is .99 or 1.29,..still the money is gone.....one rep. tryed to tell me that my bank may had misinformed me on these charges and I had told her right back that for some reason itnus was doin everything that they could to get my money from me and that they could not understand why itune's was doin this to me and that at least 3 times she kept tryen to tell me that she did not see those charges at all, and finally I had told her when it had happened and then she finally admitted to me that she had appologized to me for her mistake and that yes she did see those charges because I had told her the truth and that my bank to this in as well and I told her this stuff...she admitted some stuff to me after awhile!!........just becareful because they still will pull a sneaky on you're card though,....they make you believe that you still have what you have on you're can for at least 3 day's and then all of a sudden, "BANG"!!.....you're account is way less than you had imagine that it it would be!!...they are very sneaky like this,...but I have been recieving my reciept's in my email from them and that does show something!!.....there telling me how much I have been spending,..but they still won't let you reply to them unfortunately!...

Although,my card was only charged a dollar,I feel that something needs to be done in regards to illegal charges. I don't own a IPOD in order to order a song,(I think that is all I would get if I was charged a dollar) I have reported my illegal charge to my boss, who happens to be the Attorney General of the state that I live in.

I had $111.54 charge show up and I knew we hadn't charged that to itunes. I went on this site and got the 800 number. They told me to go on line, which I did. They walked me through the appropriate links for mobileme, which is what the charge had on it. I got onto a live chat. It turns out that I had bought an apple laptop for my daughter 2 months ago and it came with a trial for this service, which I don't recall agreeing to. That's sleazy. But I have to say, the rep got my i.d. (through security questions) and then went on to cancel the "subscription" and refund my money. They are even going to send me a copy of the communication. If none of this happens, I'll be back. But for now, its resolved. It did eat up 45 minutes of my life, however!

I had three charges all in the same day including the apl.mobileme I had to cancell my card (you can do that through the cs number) and contact the three charges. I contacted them to ensure that they did not send any merchandise to the crooks who took the card. Then with the card # I informed the authorities in my area to investigate.

$40.00 taken from my card even after I got a new card the charges came through again. The card service doesn't care they just think your the one charging things on it..

I was charged the $1.13 from APL*MOBILME on 11/8/09. I have an Ipod.. that's it. I don't even have a subscription to the Itunes store. So I called 1-800-692-7753. They transfered me around a little bit, but they were very helpful. I was able to tell the guy what had happened, he put my debt card into into their system, but he even said that that number and my name were not in their system. That clearly, I am not a subscriber to MobilMe. He also expressed that the charge is very strange because MobilMe usually takes out a yearly subscription fee of $99. It might be a third party checking to see if my debt card number works.

Luckily, I work for the bank I use! So I was able to call my boss and cancel my card. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE LEARNED! If you see a charge on your account that says VISA (or whatever card you use), it means someone has a hold on your card number and you need to cancel your card and get a new one. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to change your bank account number. That can be a hassle, especially if you need to order new checks for your new number. HOWEVER. If there is an unknown charge from your account that is an ACH (direct w/draw or deposit) or a phone charge, that means someone has a hold of your actual account number and you need to change your account. Luckily, I've caught this problem early.. hopefully all of you can too.

Had a call today from Bank of America fraud dept wanting to know if I had authorized a $1.13 charge from APL*MOBILEME. The transaction supposedly happened today. I don't even own anything from Apple. I purchased new cell phones yesterday from Verizon (Samsung Smooth) and am now wondering if this is something that Verizon may have done. Regardless, I had to cancel my card and have a new one expedited because I'm going out of town in a week. What a pain in the a** this is!!!

I talked to a company after following many of the charges that I too, didn't see for months. I traced it to some punk kid that lives in Africa. I traced to his different accounts where he is seen with different names and pictures. I fear that there is nothing that I can do to prevent it other than to just close out the account and report it. It's so sad that even with a name and city- there's nothing I can do.

The thieves struck again on 11-11-09. I too had to cancel my account and I also do not have any affiliation with Apple. Two small charges and One attempt from the United Kingdom.
I'm sure the thieves are following these comments and having a good laugh. I am more than angry and for the thieves sake I hope the law gets them befor someone like me does.
With that said, I say to the thieves. "Get Your affairs in order."

I was charged $1.13 by A P L Mobile Me www.ME.com caus 13 times between the 10th of November and 16th of November for a total of $14.69. This has been going on for a while I spoke with my bank card company about what was going on, They advised me to cancel the existing card for a new one. Or wait for 15 days for the charges to drop off.

i have unauthorize charges my daughter is mentally retarded she kept on selecting those paid items not aware the damages she causes me and the worst part of it she deleted them i have abill of 40.26 and i got her those gift card 15.00 she did the same thing again bought a few songs and deleted 10.00 worth of music
so i need some of those money back at this time i m paying 35.00 fee on these amounts please help

per Greg B....I have just found charges to my account as well with the same as you and many others. Now I try to call my bank card number and my account is frozen. I can't even get through to let them know about the pending transaction. There is another one also but it's from STAMPCO ENTERMENT but for $20.00 pending.

Have a frustrating problem. Tried to contact the offices of Freindfinder without success. Have been charged for your service for the past three months, without any success.
