usr/bin directory missing in OS X
I need to rebuild Spotlight's index and I can only do that using a Sudo mdutil command.
HOWEVER, for some reason, the usr/bin directory containing said command is missing.
Is there anyway I could restore this directory without completely reinstalling OS X?

Inappropriate? What version of OS X are you using?
Tiger had an option for rebuild.
Leopard, I can't find it.
However you can use ONYX to rebuild it:

Inappropriate?Onyx uses commands that ARE in the usr/bin folder. Anyway, I managed to solve the problem by copying the entire usr/bin directory from another mac.
