What do I do if my iPhone keeps "crashing"?
My iPhone starting crashing (to the Home screen) whenever I loaded certain webpages, YouTube videos, and (eventually) even opening Mail. By shutting down (holding the top On/Off button until it went down), then turning on again, the problem seemed to go away.

Inappropriate? This works for me, too, except I thought you had to hold down the sleep and the home buttons at the same time. It seems like the iPhone just needs restarting every 3-4 days, to refresh itself. Kinda wonky, but not a big deal.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? My iPhone has been crashing quite a bit in Safari and iPod. (I was assuming the iPod issues had something to do with VBR MP3s, but that was a total shot in the dark.)
The large data tables in the Caltrain timetable are probably a good test of iPhone Safari and it renders noticeably faster after a restart. We'll see if the crashes are less frequent. :-)

Inappropriate?I am having similar problems. My iPhone crashes about five times per day, which is not normal, I am sure. I did a software restore, but I still have this problem. Does anyone know if there is something else I can do besides software restore to factory settings?

Inappropriate?Mine crashes regularly with Safari, mostly in apps with ajax and/or where I'm trying to add info into a form, and Google Maps. Also, SMS crashes when I have a lot of messages in a conversation (deleting the conversation clears that up). Is there a list of known crash-causing bugs and remedies?
I’m sadly getting used to the crashes

Inappropriate?Restore in iTunes should help. If not, then try file>tranfer purchases (to back up your apps) then unchecking all your apps in the sync panel; sync and restore. My iPhone was much happier with no apps - then I've reloaded my favourite dozen or so, one at a time. No problems yet.

Inappropriate?Try restoring after transferring your purchases.
Something else you can do is uncheck your synced apps, then syncing, then checking them again and syncing them once more.

Inappropriate?I had the same issue and here's how I seemed to resolve it.
Problem: I had a bunch of regular free AppleStore apps installed. At one point, I jailbroke it (sshhh). Installed jailbroken apps and everything was working fine. Reg and Jailbroken apps in unison. At some point, I removed a jailbroken app and that appeared to have caused an influx w/ the regular apps where everything was crashing. At this point, I was freaking out!!!!
Solution:
Came upon this forum and reading some posts gave me an idea. Rather than backup and re-install everything, I did it for one app. I removed my Huffingtonpost App completely, then went back to AppleStore and installed HuffPost app again. That for some reason, fixed everything and now both my regular and jailbroken apps appear to work again.
Give it a try and let me know if it fixes your probs.
