What's the best Bluetooth handset to use with the iPhone?
Preferably one that doesn't make me look like a goober when I'm wearing it.

Inappropriate?Nicole Lee at CNET says the Jawbone will be offered alongside the iPhone. CNET rates it highly, but it's definitely a bit pricey.

Inappropriate? It also makes you look like a goober. Plantronics is where it is at:

If only for the fact that you can pull the headphones down around your neck when not in use.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?no, they all make you look like an idiot. i imagine we'll have to wait for apple to make a bluetooth headpiece companion for the iphone before that particular problem is solved.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Apparently they're supposed to have done this but it sounds like they're not being pushed like the Jawbone is.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Only when someone has created a bluetooth headset that is an object of desire, like the RAZR when it first launched, the first Sidekick, and now the iPhone, will it stop being the marker of the dork, sales bot, and cab driver.
These guys are tiptoeing towards it: http://www.joby.com/products/zivio/
I’m happy

Inappropriate? And the Zivio can be further discussed here at our Joby Satisfaction site. They're definitely doing some innovative stuff!
I’m happy

Inappropriate? All of these still strike me as too big. Motorola's H9 seems promising: it's extremely small, nothing more than an earbud really, and relies on the vibrations in your jaw to pick up your voice. Neat. Approx $100.

Inappropriate? The form factor on that H9 is really compelling (though I'm afraid I'd drop it down a drain hole at first opportunity). Alas, the reviews suggest it may be more of a prototype.
-
Inappropriate?Ok, this is probably my paranoid inner Luddite talking, but don't these wireless headsets provide more exposure risk? You know, the whole brain cancer scare when cell phones first started getting really popular? Seems like having something attached to your ear all day that's sending and receiving wireless signals can't be good for your brain cells.
I’m anxious
-
Inappropriate?Amy, you have a point here. Now, this is getting off-topic, but there seems to be work under way toward shielding us from at least some of the radiation - not anywhere near our brains, though. http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/20/is...
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? That's pretty funny, Jean. So you guys could either wear the radiation blocking underwear, or just carry your cell phone in a handbag like us girls. :)
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Any Bluetooth headset is supremely dorky--talk on the phone! I will admit that I do have one, but I only use it when I am at my desk and no one is looking. It is the TINY Jabra JX10. http://whatsyourjabra.com/mobile/JX10... This thing is SMALL. It is about 1.5 inches long--much smaller than it looks on their website. It reduces (but does not eliminate) the dork factor.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Guys
Which headphones is the best to replace the stupid iphone headphone that has all the function such as mic, answer calls etc is in the market today? Could you recommend a good one? Thanks
I’m can't find any
-
Inappropriate?Good question. Actually, if you could start a new topic on that, I bet we could get it more visibility -- and more answers.
I’m curious to know, too
-
Inappropriate?roberto, we have a discussion about this going on over here. for the record, i bought a $99 pair from ultimatebuds.com and have been very happy with them.
I’m listening
-
Inappropriate?i got a Jabra BT250v. They're really cheap now, like 50 on amazon, and it hides neatly behind your ear. vibrates too.
I’m vibing.
