What's the process for replacing my iPhone's battery?
I have seen absolutely nothing about what to do when my battery dies after the 300-400 recharges it's supposedly good for.

Inappropriate?The good news is that if it's under warranty Apple will cover the replacement of your defective battery. Furthermore, as the Apple site explains:
You can extend your coverage to two years from the date of your iPhone purchase with the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone, which is expected to be available in summer 2007. During the plan’s coverage period, Apple will replace the battery if it drops below 50% of its original capacity.
If it's out of warranty it will cost us 20% of the purchase price to replace the battery. Here's how it will work [see here for more]:
If it is out of warranty, Apple offers a battery replacement for $79, plus $6.95 shipping, subject to local tax. Apple disposes of your battery in an environmentally friendly manner.
To further summarize: You'll send your iPhone to Apple for battery service which will cost $79, and then $6.95 for shipping. The whole thing takes three business days. It's not unlike what you have to do for an iPod, except that Apple will offer a loaner iPhone for $29 for use while you wait. -
Inappropriate?Haha, this is so laughable. Apple was condemned today by the Foundation for Consumer and Taxpayer Rights for not being straight with iPhone buyers about the facts around its battery program. I will say that Apple doesn't make it easy to find this information on its site. You have to search for it to find it.

Inappropriate?Buy an actual phone rather than an iPod with calling capabilities. So many flaws in the iPhone.. especially with downtime when the battery dies and you're without a phone for a given amount of time.
I’m hating the iPhone.. thankfully I've never owned one.
