What's up with Keynote '09, eh?

Aight ... I downloaded iWork '09 as a trial ( I also bought it and the package is on the way as we speak, but that's an entirely different thread + story ;] ) ... I needed to have the most current version of Keynote as my boss has some materials I need to work from and take over in Keynote '09, right? And now, every time I open up a file, any file, in Keynote '09 ... the app let's me poke around for about, let's say, a minute, and then it completely closes out and crashes ... very frustratin'

Any ideas? Who can assist here? Any insight, direction or information is greatly appreciated ;]
