Why can't I copy/paste text with in iPhone?
I love my iPhone but I didn't expect that I wouldn't be able to copy/paste text or search in my contact list by name or company, or switch off suggestions while typing (I mostly type in Dutch). Neither the applications like excell, powerpoint or word are supported. This is kind of frustrating. I hope it will come with the new version...

Inappropriate? If you're trying to call someone, or send an SMS, searching contacts is accomplished by just typing.
As far as the rest goes, I feel your pain and I hope most of those issues will be solved in the upcoming software upgrade.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Thank you for your reply.
As far as SMS and e-mail works it was very clear, but I couldn't figure out how I should search for contacts when I want to call someone.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?D'oh! You're right. That's actually pretty annoying. Hmmm. I guess we can always hope for it in version 2.0 of the software.
I’m slightly disappointed

Inappropriate?Does v.2 do this??? I hope so.

I guess you somehow have been living under a rock, because yes that was demonstrated and blogged about by pretty much everyone -
Thankfully, the rest of the world is not as insular as the geek world. I didn't hear much about it, to be honest. Look here, Arena, for a great Q&A about the new 3G iPhone: http://gizmodo.com/5016398/the-iphone... -
And by "do this" i meant search your contacts, not do copy paste. Anna asked two questions in one. -
Inappropriate? As far as the WWDC Keynote, there's no copy/paste ability in iPhone Software 2.0
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I haven't found any confirmation that v.2 will do this. I am already afraid if it is not mentioned it won't be included.

Let's just hope Steve will surprise us.
