Why can't I send an ical invitation from my iphone or my mobile me account?
I've just got an iphone and have realised I can't send an ical invitation from my iphone. I'm shocked by this. I believe this is possible with microsoft exchange, but I don't use any microsoft products, I use Apple ones! Why have Apple left this bit of fuctionality off. I feel increadibly dissapointed and I know I'm not the only person to feel this.

Inappropriate?agree this has been a glaring omission. Fortunately the fix is coming in iPhone 3.0 allowing you to create Meeting invitations from the iPhone
I’m confident

Inappropriate?@MDNZ - Where did you hear about this specifically? I see Apple is adding .ics support for calendar subscriptions and push notifications, but I don't see any mention of meeting requests specifically.

Inappropriate?Yeah well, I just got the new iphone 3gs running version 3.0.1 and I can't send them...
I’m really dissappointed because I specifically got an iphone to compliment my mac

Inappropriate? You know maybe I don't know enough about it yet cause I only got it yesterday afternoon, but I should be excited about getting and iphone and how usable it is... not wishing that maybe I'd got something else instead. I expected that I would be able to walk into my house and that my iphone and mac would automatically talk to each other and make themselves as "one" seemless unit to help me organise my life... so far it's just a frustration....
I’m needing to learn more, but nevertheless dissapointed.
