Why does Time Machine keep backing up the same old stuff?
My Time Machine keeps backing up data from the same day (1 March 2008) hour after hour. It doesn't seem to register later changes on my computer. What to do?

Inappropriate?Yes, I have the same problem and am really also looking for an answer. My Time Machine on my mac mini backs up fine as it only backs up recent changes but on my mac book pro, it keeps backing up 21GB and I notice my free storage space on my Time Capsule diminishing. Please if anyone who has a solution to this can share with me and funabashi.
thanks.

Inappropriate?Hi Funabashi,
Hope you are good. Am thinking you would have found a solution to this problem but if you have not, i stumbled upon a post. Go to: http://www.macgurulounge.com/see-whic... and download Time tracker at: http://www.charlessoft.com/TimeTracke... . It did the trick. I was able to find out what files Time Machine was backing up. It was backing up my Parallel partition each time it backup chages resulting in the 20GB backup. So if you have either Vmware or Parallel, my guess is maybe the same thing is happening. To solve it I just excluded my Parallel partition from being backed up in Time Machine and viola! It backs up only recent changes.
Hope it helps out.
Cheers mate.
I’m happy
