Inappropriate? If you have ever purchased something through the online Apple store, you had to make an Apple ID there. That Apple ID is connected to your banking account.
So... you did authorize them!
I’m sad

Inappropriate?i woke up this morning to find that i had 2 receipts for $50 each for gift cards made out to random letting for names to my bank debit card. the same card i used to purchase items through itunes which is stored on my itunes account.
i contacted apple and they have stated that they will forward this to the correct dept and will contact me within 24hrs.
i have also contacted my bank and canceled my card, which i have to wait up to 10 business days to receive a replacement/new card. my bank had instructed me to have apple call them to reverse, apple states to have my bank call them to remove/reverse the charges made.
after doing a few simple searches on this occurrence online, i find that there are others that have gone through this and some saying that apple will not reverse the charges.
apple's customer service has stated to me, upon being asked, that the cards have not been used. i then asked why can we not just cancel these cards and refund my bank the charges? i was then stated it was being handled according to apple's company policy. i also asked as to where these charges where being made from cause i was suspecting that apple's secure account information server had been compromised and/or hacked. it was then stated to me that they cannot release this type of information.
now, i fell asleep watching videos in bed on my laptop last night. woke up and checked my emails, still in bed, when i noticed the 2 receipts for the $50 gift card charges. i immediately jumped out of bed and began contacting my bank and apple.
i found a reporter for FOX on another website stating they are looking for similar stories to do a report.
you can contact this reporter for FOX who is looking to cover this on national television.
their email is: ray.parisi@foxtv.com

Contact your bank, cancel your card and request a new one so the iTunes Store can't work any longer, and change the password of your Apple ID. -
Inappropriate?I have this same problem. They charge me like 1 dollar or 1.07. I can't find out why. I only bought two songs last week, and there is more than one charge, and they charged this week as well as last week.
I’m pissed.

Inappropriate?I have charges on my bank account I can't identify. 1st question: My iTunes charges say APL iTunes. The other says "Apl online store". The charges from the online store are ones I can't identify. Any ideas? I can't find anywhere where you can check your Apple Online Account, so I can't find the reason. It's in pending at the bank so I can't get any detail from them until it actually posts. Any insights?
I’m confused, and upset I can't find online history, just itunes history

Inappropriate?Jack Silverman: is it possible the $1.07 charge is a $.99 charge with tax added on? My concern with these small, odd charges is that when I get them in various places, they are someone testing my card # so they can scam me. Had a gas station in Montreal do that to me, and my bank said my charges are a pattern and that they've had others do the same thing, so the authorities are on it. Especially since I've never been to Montreal.

Inappropriate?Same thing happen to me! APL iTunes charged my debt card 1.00. I have never ordered anything from them for them to get my card number. Whats up with that?
I’m confused

Inappropriate?I know that sometimes when you open a new account, some places run a $1.00 charge to your card to verify it's a real account. This charge should stay in pending, never posted, so it falls off a few days later. I wonder if that's why you saw that charge. It's been awhile, but I don't remember that happening to me.
-
Inappropriate?@Codie Stephens same thing here, it charged me 1$ when I opened a new account with my new iPhone. I think like @Cricket said it does that to make sure its real, that could be true idk though. Did yours ever go away?
I’m confused

I know ssr345's question wasn't meant for me, but the $1 did go away. However, the $10.++ charge hit me last month, then fell of pending, then started again a couple of days ago. I have a separate charge for some real downloads, and that is indeed billed differently. This $10.++ may fall off in a few days, but what bugs me most is that nobody at Apple has responded to my messages. -
Inappropriate?apple should not charge anything but there have been many recent fraud cases with hackers getting into apples servers and messing arround getting valuable information for example bank card numbers
I’m mad at apple

Inappropriate?this obviously is an ongoing problem:
http://getsatisfaction.com/apple/topi...
i have never ordered anything from itunes and all of a sudden my checking account is almost cleaned out? i call your customer "service" and you won't even tell me the email address of the person who ripped me off? you won't even file a complaint with law enforcement when there is obvious fraud on a large scale happening in your online store?!
why, when there is extensive record online of this problem, has this continued to be a problem? why do we not hear more about this in the media?
WHY is the company not doing anything about it? they are looking at a lawsuit or some negative publicity if they continue to ignore us or brush off our concerns.
i discovered tonight that apple has the worst customer service anywhere! you guys are more smug and rude than e*trade, and that takes a lot!
you, apple, have all the information you need to give to law enforcement to pursue those who would defraud the public and sully your name. WHY, WHY, WHY do you just sit there and pretend this isn't happening?
STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!
is this some kind of inside job?

This is fraud!. -
Inappropriate? What does it take to get Itunes to make good on all the fraud that is going on?? I have done everything on my end. I am talking about unauthorized charges and purchases. They said they will not reimburse me. So I guess whoever is charging on my debit card can just keep charging up a storm, is this fair??

Inappropriate?Besides canceling my credit card because of a charge from itunes that I did NOT make, who else should I report this fraud to? I'd also like to know what company issued the 866-712-7753 phone number, that is also a fraud.
