Constant timeouts for tweetie on iPhone
I've been having connection issues (timeouts mostly) for the past week. I've tried reinstalling the app, but the issue remains (can't even login due to timeouts all the time). Please note that I do have a working Internet connection when these issues arose.

Every Twitter iphone app that uses SSL is having these issues. We've be working with Buzz and Craig from System of Touch and the Iconfactory as well as Apple and Twitter to try and narrow this down.

I've finally have had a chance to check this, and I fully agree. No problem on WiFi, but constant timeouts over 3G/EDGE -

This is bull, everyother app can connect to Twitter but yours. I have tried numerous free apps, why is it the one I want to use and paid money for can acess Twitter. Stop counting your cash and fix this bug, going on 3 weeks now.

It is happening with SSL authentication, I'm not sure those other apps use that form. Tweetie retries with out SSL after failing with SSL (hit another screen or refresh), and that seems to be largely successful.

Inappropriate?TwitterFon is having the same problem, they said it's an issue with the Twitter API. I don't think this is Tweetie's fault. -
Inappropriate?Running the latest version of Tweetie for iPhone, on the latest iPhone software update for 3G (3.0.1).
Up until about 2 weeks ago, I had no connectivity problems with Tweetie. Now, I have about a 1% success rate of connecting to a network and reading the content. Regardless of my network connection (full bars 3G, full bars Edge, WiFi), Tweetie gives me a network error almost every time, "Secure Connection Failed" or similar.
I love Tweetie, I think it is the best app available for Twitter, however I am worried I will have to look for something inferior to use!

Inappropriate?I'm also having this issue. I've noticed that if I hit twitter.com (don't even need to log in) and try to relaunch tweetie it works fine. Definitely seems like some sort of ssl / cookie problem.

Inappropriate?I don't understand how Tweetie could mark this as not a problem? It works fine on wifi so it's not my phone or twitter - I also noticed the same thing about loading twitter.com in mobile safari and then it will load. 90% of my day I'm not where I have wifi so the Tweetie app I just bought is useless and broke - out of the box. If I thought I could get my money back some how I would.
Tweetie already said it was an issue with SSL as above - so update your app at the very least to disable SSL or put a notice on your twitter account or your website so I don't have to go looking for this. Know I've wasted my money AND my time......... wish I would of bought twitterific

Inappropriate?I'm not sure what @atebits' thoughts are on this, but given the lengthy approval process for getting something like this fixed, it just seems better for Twitter to fix the issue.

Inappropriate?Having this issue after running the iPhone 3.0.1 update. All the other apps have no problems updating from Twitter, but Tweetie always either times out or gives an SSL error unless I'm on Wifi. Second day in a row this has been happening now.

Inappropriate?it seems to have resolved itself for about the past week or so and then re surfaced within the past day or two. Clearly it's an issue with tweetie working with twitter as twitterfon, twitterrific or any of the other iphone apps work fine when tweetie will not. It would appear that tweetie is happy to simply put out an app sit back and collect money on it while offering zero support or bug fixes.

Inappropriate?I am a bit pathetic and have SEVERAL Twitter apps I have purchased. Trust me Tweetie is NOT the only one suffering from the current issues. Grow up! It will be resolved.
