Growl notifications: use username as the title instead of "new tweet", "new mention" etc.
I think the title says it all.

Inappropriate? Also use profile images as the growl icons!
Great update, though -- big step in the right direction.
I’m wanting more

Update, now I'm seeing some of the growl icons coming through properly. Maybe it's a cache thing? -
Yeah i see Growl icons for some, but not for others. -
I'm seeing the same thing. I think the icon/avatar issue is a bug that will hopefully be fixed in a future update, rather than a design choice. -
Inappropriate?Absolutely agree - including Growl support is a good first step, but titling the notification "new tweet" isn't ideal.
I’m hopeful.

Inappropriate? It seems to me that it was intended to work as you described (username as the title, users's avatar as the image) but it's buggy. Half of the time, the Growl notifications show up as you describe, and the other half I just get the generic Tweetie icon with the text "New Tweet".
Something's definitely broken here...
I’m puzzled
-
Well, I'm seeing inconsistent behavior with the avatars, but for me the notifications are *always* titled "New Tweet" (or "New Mention" or whatever). -
Ditto - the avatar is spotty, but the "New Tweet" (or New Mention, or whatever) is consistent. -
You're right, I must have been imagining the name-as-the-title thing. But the avatars issue is still a problem. -

Inappropriate?Totally agree here - the title would be much more useful if we could see who it was from. Even though I can recognise most of my follows' icons, some don't come up and hence I can't tell who it's by.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?See this reply: http://getsatisfaction.com/atebits/to... on a dupe thread for this feature. The author created a plugin that works great with Growl & Tweetie 1.1.1
