Highlight new Tweets
The one thing stopping me from using Tweetie full time is a very useful feature that Twitterfon (another iPhone client) has.
Basically, in Twitterfon, when I open the app, it loads all the recent tweets that I've not yet seen, and highlights them - however, it only loads up to 200 tweets.
Tweetie, on the other hand, doesn't do this. It only loads 100 tweets by default, and if I want to find the last read tweet, I have to manually scroll through the list. This might be okay for most people but I follow about 100 people, and get about 200 updates a day, if not more.
So, basically, I'd love it if Tweetie for the iPhone could 1) load 200 (or even 300) of the most recent tweets, and 2) highlight new Tweets.
Would this be possible in a future version?

Inappropriate?This is one of my favorite things about Twhirl. New tweets have a little yellow star. You can mark them as read by clicking on them, or select the "mark all as read" button. Lack of a way to easily know what I've read has made me give up quickly on other clients. I'm giving Tweetie some time to see if I can get used to their way of doing things.

Inappropriate?I prefer the TwitterFon solution to this, as opposed to Twhirl - simply highlighting unread messages, and (like GoogleReader), marking them as read as you scroll. Having to click messages to mark them unread is both time consuming and tedious! Especially for people that follow, say, 100 others.

Inappropriate?I fully agree with the OP and as much as i like Tweetie's interface and options the ONLY hurdle that keeps me from using it, and using Twitterfon, is the lack of knowing what is a new (unread) tweet (ie highlighting or icon, ect) and the lack of loading only 100 tweets (an option for 200 on load would be nice, but more would be better).

Inappropriate?I agree with everyone here. I need a load more than 100 and some way to see whats new and what was previously loaded. Otherwise great app.
