I want a shortcut to open links in a tweet in the browser
Like in Twitterific or Eventbox, where I can click cmd-arrow for instance to open embedded links in my browser. Nice for keyboard navigation

Inappropriate?Opening links is one of the most common tasks when reading tweets. It would be very nice to have a keyboard shortcut and be able to continue giving my mouse the cold shoulder and just use the keyboard.

Inappropriate? The left arrow key would be ideal.

No, because the left arrow key brings you back to the main timeline when you're in a conversation or another user's posts or something. It should be a unique key. -
Inappropriate?I like the current functionality of the left arrow key to go back :) I would say either "return" or a command-<something> short cut.</something>

Inappropriate?Good idea guys, we'll have to be careful how we implement this, but I so no reason we can't or wouldn't want to.

Inappropriate? The Twitterific commands open preset links, like the user's twitter profile page, or the tweet page, et cetera.
What if there are two links in a tweet? I don't think this feature CAN be consistently present, therefore I don't think it should be at all.
I’m worried that this got more of a company response than other more important issues

Inappropriate?Twitterific has a shortcut (←) to open the poster's twitter profile, and a shortcut (→) to open any links in the tweet. It handles more than one link in a tweet in a very sensible fashion - it opens them all at once by opening multiple tabs in the browser.

Inappropriate?Jordan, Twitterrific already handles opening any/all links in the tweet itself - just hit right arrow when on a tweet with links. They open in multiple browser windows (or tabs, depending on how your browser is configured). This was one of my most used keyboard shortcuts in Twitterrific, and one of my most missed ones in Tweetie. Definitely a key feature.
I’m really hoping to see this shortcut roll out soon

That does move away from the whole keyboard shortcuts idea of this thread though... -
that's why is a different thread, and both integrations can coexist :D -
Is it really possible to do drag and drop using only keyboard?
