Let us throttle API calls
Between blog API calls, cell phone, and desktop app(s) it's important to be able to throttle API calls so I don't end up constantly exceeding my hourly limit (spent about half of today with it exceeded).

Inappropriate?I agree. I only need DM notification every 15 minutes or so because I get instant email notification of those anyway. New tweets and replies are of the most interest to me. -
Inappropriate?I'm on the other side of this boat.
My username and IP address have been whitelisted since I manage a handful of usernames and I have 20,000 api calls per hour.
It would be very helpful to me to crank my api calls up so that I can get more data in less time.
