Inappropriate? This is happening for me also. I entered my j.mp account name, and API code, but don't get the links that Tweetie is shortening showing up in my j.mp URL history.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?I have the same issue - the links are shortened but are not associated with my bit.ly account. However I had thought that you don't need both username/password and API key - isn't that the point of the API key?
I’m mildly disappointed
-
Inappropriate? This is the whole reason I signed up to bit.ly. When I go to import history there is nothing there even though I have created plenty of shortened URLs with Tweetie.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Where do you set up the Bit.ly account in Tweetie (Mac)?
-
I don't think you can on Tweetie for Mac (yet?), this is about Tweetie for the iPhone. -
Inappropriate?Thank you. Atebits sure seems quiet on a lot of these threads.
-
Inappropriate? Before Tweetie 2 claimed to have implemented this (which I assume is what is implied by being able to enter an API key, yes?) I had been going to MobileSafari, using the bit.ly bookmarklet, cutting the message and then returning to Tweetie (I know, I can post from bit.ly, but I have multiple accounts.)
I stopped doing so when Tweetie 2 was released and was V E R Y disappointed to find that my entire history is now not available within my bit.ly accoung. I have to fish for each instance individually and look at the info page.
I'll save the editorial re: non-existent publicized features and some of the other popular gripes o these threads, but I will say i'm disappointed at this, especially since I HAD a workaround that I stopped using... ugh.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? So, Atebits are you indeed listening? Any chance of your (official) thoughts on this one?
I’m hopeful for a response.
-
Inappropriate?Looks like they've implemented something similar in 2.0 but it may have some issues: http://getsatisfaction.com/atebits/to...
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?Sorry about it, I missed this thread. the History flag isnt part of 2.0 but will be part of 2.1.
-
Right. So, what I don't understand is why does 2.0 accept my APIkey and lead me to believe that it should have worked? Lots of lost time tracking links. -
It's still using your key, it's just not putting them in your history. Which is dumb of us. -
Inappropriate?Hello!
Thanks ashponders for your response. I assume this thread is referring to Tweetie 2 for the iPhone (given it appears the most recent version of Tweetie for Mac desktop currently available on Atebits' site is v. 1.2.4 [which I am currently running])
Can I look forward to the History flag being available in a new version of Tweetie for Mac desktop also?
Thanks so much for your time and consideration on this issue.
Best regards,
Justin
I’m anticipatory

I believe so :)
