Make Tweetie the King by Adding a User Filter
Ability to view selected users in separate window (to make personal follow favorites, to view and read only those you want for that day or time period). This is the only feature I miss from TweetDeck, otherwise you guys beat it hands down! But I don't like having all users showing, when I'm often following for courtesy and don't want to read all the tweets.

You make a good point. I should have explained better. There's not enough time to read all those followed, so I would like a filter for those who are the ones that I interact the most with, to keep them separate and more readily available. There's also times that favorites get on a subject you're not interested in for a while. Being able to pull out and keep a separate list of the priority users for the day would be very handy for me.

Although I like the feature idea, following should only be because a user's tweets are relevant, not cause of courtesy - so hopefully that's not the only part of your request the developer reads :-)

Inappropriate?I'll this here because it's kind of relevant to the filtering of people one is following. It's not possible to quickly jump to the timeline of someone I'm following without them already having a recent post in my main timeline. It would be good to list those I'm following from the link in my profile rather than it opening Twitter in my browser. -
Inappropriate?I would love if tweetie could filter out tweets from certain users. I don't always want to see an alert or read through tweets of certain people. Being able to create filters would be a huge help. -
Inappropriate?add my "aye" vote to this topic! ... frequently, I want to follow a friend's tweets, but maybe i don't need to see the 50 #conferenceIDidntAttend thread... or the 50th tweet about their bake sale... i could filter on "user:thatguy" and "body:bake"
