Thinking it may have something to do with the file format. PNG?

I'm seeing a TON of peoples avatars broken in Tweetie in the past day. They seem to work just fine on twitter.com. I have to say, since day one Tweetie has not been able to properly display images and it is becoming quite frustrating to see it ying-yang back and forth between seemingly working and total bust. Especially when apps like Twitterrific work just fine.

Same problem here. Two icons disappeared overnight. But, I can see all user icons in the iPhone app. So it should be possible to fix this.

I'm getting the same problem in Tweetie/Mac - another example is Neil Gaiman's icon (@neilhimself - but check soon, he changes it frequently). This probably is due to the twitter resizing bug.

However, the icon appears correctly in Tweetie/iPhone, and not in Tweetie/Mac!

If you click on the empty space where the avatar should be on these people's profiles, the full size image opens up in the picture viewer. So it doesn't seem like it would be a big deal to resize the image to something reasonable and cache it.

If you're not going to show the icon, at least remove the empty frame from the timeline... It only makes the bug worse, no matter whose fault it is. Without the frame you could reasonably convince yourself it's a Twitter problem and ignore it.

ive noticed that on relaunching tweetie, previously non-showing icons will now show, and others still wont show (even when i can see the full size version in the pop-out viewer)... seems random.

I can see @tjw @rudy and @zadi.
But @winterjump does not show. I have reuploaded a new image (199x199 PNG), looks nice on web, but not in Tweetie (OS X).
