can i NOT shorten already-short URLs when using tweetie:http:// format !

I don't shorten if a link is already shorter than a shortened URL will be... I can add some "fudging" to it, but I don't want any more options. More UI is rarely the solution.

2) The addn UI will only pop-up when "new" flag in Settings will be set... For the rest of the users... it will be business as usual - This is like the pop-up when "multiple account exist"

Inappropriate?If the url is already short enough why are you even using the JS tweetie: bookmarklet?
The bookmarklet strikes me as a work around for the lack of copy/paste as much as it is for convenient shorting of url's. If you're tweeting about http://example.com do you even need to use the bookmarklet? Can you not just keep the address in your noggin for 2 secs while you switch over to tweetie? I'll give you that ':' & '/' are not the most readily accessible keys on the iPhone keyboard, but still I must side w/ Mr.bits that this 'feature' would be unneeded clutter. -
