TinyURL and is.gd really necessary?

It has come to my attention that @ashponders has said here that support for more options, may lead to problems with bugs, things to get chunky, slow, and "crapped up" if you will.

Making me think, is TinyURL and is.gd really needed in the app?

Look at this, TinyURL is deathly long compared to all the other shorteners out there and is now being targeting as a "spam URL shortener". Many spammers are using it to disguise their nasty hoaxes and such, which makes it not ideal for use. When you come to think of it, there is no particular reason to use TinyURL. I think support should simply be dropped.

As for is.gd. Many would say, and are right, that its super short, why drop support for it? Well there is tr.im. Then why not just drop tr.im? well tr.im has more features, like statistics and can add URLs you tweet from your account. is.gd doesn't have any stats or special features that what make it all great, its the same length as tr.im, and tr.im has more features. Not only that, tr.im is in fact shorter when you think more deeply, is.gd URLs are shortened with 5 characters at the end (http://is.gd/XXXXX) whereas tr.im uses 4 (http://tr.im/XXXX)

Just a little in put, I am posting more topics regarding URLs in Tweetie.
