Tweet Notification Using Auto Scroll
Setting new tweets to auto-scroll to the top, shows the rounded "new tweets" indicator - but because the screen is already at the top it doesn't seem to go away unless you click into a tweet.

Inappropriate? You can also scroll down and then scroll back to the top for the "new" status to disappear.
-
Inappropriate?I much prefer having it automatically scroll to focus on new tweets but this problem is annoying me.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Yeah, I have the same issue, and it's totally not cool to have to scroll down and scroll back up for the new status to disappear. This even occurs if you have three new tweets and youclick on all of them.
It's especially annoying because the menubar icon doesn't quiet down until you scroll up and down.
I’m annoyed.

Inappropriate?Workaround is to use the mouse scroll wheel. Then it reset the icon even if it only scrolls a little. Doesn't set all the tweets grey if you've seen them, however.

Actually, that's what I would want to happen (in that the notification would reset but not the tweets). I just don't have a scroll wheel :( -
Inappropriate? There are a few ways to consider a section "read". Need to find the one that will disappoint the fewest users.
-
I think making it like twitterific would be nice, because most people use that and love it. When Tweetie uses most of that functions in that awsome layout everyone would love Tweetie for mac. -
I second the Twitterific approach - I never had confusion about read/unread or new/old tweets with their system. The inability to follow conversations drove me batty, but the read/unread/new organization was near-perfect. -
Inappropriate? If I have the auto-scroll option enabled, I would be happiest if it was marked as read when the window gained focus.
I’m hopeful
