Tweetie should use OAuth instead of passwords
If you change your password on Twitter.com, Tweetie stops working but doesn't explain why.

Inappropriate?i think that right now, without collecting the password, there is no way to do the image sharing since yfrog and twitpic both require the twitter password...
there might be some other image sharing site that has already worked this out with twitter, but at this point, i'm guessin most users would rather enter pw than loose img sharing.

Inappropriate? This behavior will change in coming versions. However OAuth is not, in Loren's opinion (nor mine) ready for implementation.
We have an essay on our blog that suggests some of the reasons we are hesitant to endorse OAuth at the moment. -
Inappropriate?Ah, I see you have already seen our essay, then I am afraid we are at an impasse. We're not ready to implement OAuth, because OAuth is not ready to be implemented. Nor, might I add, are any of the services that Tweetie uses other than Twitter, even capable of using OAuth.

If so - couldn't it be an option to use OAuth? Not implementing it won't make it evolve into something that you think is ready to implement? Can't you make it an experimental feature for us "crazy" persons who want it?
