Completely agree. I've been waiting for this release like the rest of us, but don't see how it could have got out without growl support + dock badges. This is still beta really. A very good beta, but not feature complete

A small refinement for this idea:
Offer the option to receive growl notifications only for direct messages / mentions. I don't necessarily want to get growled for every random tweet.

Inappropriate?Growl support is the first and most important feature I look for when evaluating a new Mac Twitter client. Tweetie looks fantastic, but without Growl, I'll probably end up going back to Twitterrific. :-\ -

As long as the option to get notified for all (friends') tweets remains, this is a good idea. -
For other Twitter clients you can customize this in the Growl preference pane. All the notifications will be on by default, but you can disable ones you don't care about.

Inappropriate?Well, generally Tweetie gotta have some notifications for a new tweets - tagged Dock icon, alert sounds and GROWL. It's a must have feature for every app like this.
