Currency conversion

From a question by John Turner.

Allow users in an account to enter expenses in multiple currencies, and then run a report that shows all expenses in a single currency. This would auto-convert the other currencies into a single one.

There are various services that provide (free and paid) currency conversions of various types. Some are money market rates, some are travelex style rates, still others are credit card rates. The latter is probably most useful as it aligns (pretty much) to the kind of exchange rate you get by sticking your debit card in an ATM machine in a foreign country.
