AT&T Disconnect Order will wreck your Yahoo! account.
I recently canceled my AT&T DSL account. Once the disconnect order was processed, I had no access to web based Yahoo services (even though I was a Yahoo customer prior to AT&T). No YM!, No e-mail. Nothing. If I log in, I am asked to accept the T&C's for AT&T--why? I canceled my service. I don't want AT&T anything anymore.
I've e-mailed Yahoo customer support and they say to call AT&T. After almost an hour on the phone with "Rob", the only answer he can give is to call back "during normal business hours" to see if I can get the disconnect order "processed more quickly" or he suggests I wait "a few more days".
The thing I don't understand is why is it that a disconnect order that's been processed (over a week ago) needs more time spent on the phone with some agent? Just disassociate the two accounts like you should have done when I canceled my service.
AT&T is the most difficult service provider to work with. All I've received are a bunch of excuses.

Inappropriate?I'm having trouble with them too with a disconnect. They are charging me for an extra three months for disconnect they never processed. Say I have to show them the email that they sent confirming they received my request even though I have a copy of the emailed request. Of course I can't find an email response! Prob cause they never sent one which is why i'm in this fix in the first place! Anyone have a disconnect confirmation email I can use!?!?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hello: I have a very similiar problem with AT&T(Yahoo) at the moment.I just today filed a complaint with the FCC. I strongly suggest that you do the same.. I do not believe AT&T has the legal right to interfere in any way with E Mail that they did not originally initiate.(I beleive any E Mail is proprietarily the legal property of the originator)!
