AT&T Disconnect Order will wreck your Yahoo! account.

I recently canceled my AT&T DSL account. Once the disconnect order was processed, I had no access to web based Yahoo services (even though I was a Yahoo customer prior to AT&T). No YM!, No e-mail. Nothing. If I log in, I am asked to accept the T&C's for AT&T--why? I canceled my service. I don't want AT&T anything anymore.

I've e-mailed Yahoo customer support and they say to call AT&T. After almost an hour on the phone with "Rob", the only answer he can give is to call back "during normal business hours" to see if I can get the disconnect order "processed more quickly" or he suggests I wait "a few more days".

The thing I don't understand is why is it that a disconnect order that's been processed (over a week ago) needs more time spent on the phone with some agent? Just disassociate the two accounts like you should have done when I canceled my service.

AT&T is the most difficult service provider to work with. All I've received are a bunch of excuses.
