Nothing has changed since Cingular. Once a great carrier formerly at&t...

On a related issue Cingular (AT&T) pathetic retail "support" created a SIM card to place in a new phone to replace the stolen iPhone. Just a cheap Samsung, but it is my secondary cellular service. Ok, so now their browser MediaNet is not functioning, and any attempts to change config values gives permission error.

Voice mail is not functioning as I cannot setup a new password with a recorded message,"insufficient information regarding this account."

Ok, go to cingular/AT&T (or whatever) site, login, and attempt to reset voice mail p/w via web. Theoretical text message sent to device with new temporary p/w. No message arrives. Test text msg with other phones -- no soap.

I left Cingular years ago as I was a vendor sitting in their Bothell data center (one of many, oops can you spell capacity planning?), and lost signal to their network. Interesting that after switching to Verizon I had no such experience either in a Cingular building or on Mars!

Oh yes, of course their support lines are closed in the evenings. Gee, never had that problem with Verizon -- 24x7. hmmm. Guess which "service" gets cancelled later today?
